Dancing mindfulness provides a safe, non-judgmental space for us to express ourselves and move freely. No formal dance experience is required; all you need is a desire to move and an openness to exploring this method.
In a small group session, I’ll guide you towards mindfulness, reminding you to pay attention to your movements, to the music and to your surroundings. Careful attention to yourself will be encouraged in order to live in the present moment and approach emotions that may resurface with curiosity and acceptance… without judgment.
If you find it difficult to name your suffering or talk about your experiences, this approach focused on kindness could be for you.
The activity is divided into three parts: the warm-up, the exploratory and mindfulness part, and finally the relaxation and guided meditation.
This practice is for everyone, whatever their level of health or mobility. My role is to adapt the practice to suit your personal needs and limitations.
You don’t have to be a dancer to dance!
