United for success: strengthening team bonds for a harmonious team

Ah! team building!

As a young adult, my participation in Katimavik and Canada World Youth helped me learn about group life. To meet this complex challenge, we had to get to know ourselves, learn about our own leadership styles, become aware of our personal and varied challenges, develop our communication skills, face our problems and find solutions, gain confidence in ourselves and our team. All this and more was encouraged by team-building activities.

Enriched by this experience, I later used it in my last social work placement, in Vietnam. At North Thang Long Economic- Technical College, my role was to bring together my knowledge of team building by creating a manual which was then translated into Vietnamese and used to deliver workshops to students and teachers.

Leadership, communication, problem-solving, self-confidence and trust in others: all this and much more is encouraged by team building activities.

Whether you need to boost employee motivation, strengthen cohesion in a group of volunteers, increase the sense of belonging among members of a sports team, reinforce communication between family members or offer a group of residents the chance to get to know each other better: the occasions when it’s beneficial to call on a team-building facilitator are numerous and the possibilities, limitless.

Let’s talk and see how I can help you become a team of fire.
